Five resources. One connected economy.
Food supports troops. Lumber, stone, and iron fund construction, training, and research. Gold comes from taxation and trade, and pays for heroes, research, and promotion.
| Resource | Primary field | Common use |
|---|---|---|
| Food | Farm | Army upkeep and development |
| Lumber | Sawmill | Construction, bows, wagons, and siege |
| Stone | Quarry | Buildings, walls, and catapult shot |
| Iron | Iron Mine | Weapons, armor, and military development |
| Gold | Population taxes and Market trade | Research, heroes, ranks, and titles |
Valleys and camps
Resource valleys and NPC camps range from level 1 through level 10. Valley bonuses rise with level. Your Town Hall level determines how many resource tiles the city can hold. Review garrisons before attempting stronger targets.
| Valley level | Production bonus |
|---|---|
| 1 | 5% |
| 2 | 7% |
| 3 | 9% |
| 4 | 12% |
| 5 | 15% |
| 6 | 18% |
| 7 | 22% |
| 8 | 26% |
| 9 | 30% |
| 10 | 40% |
Founding another castle
Workers or Transporters can act as settlers. They need to carry the settlement stores shown below. These become the new castle’s initial resources and troops. Review your title and the founding requirements in game before sending settlers.
| Resource | Amount |
|---|---|
| Food | 20,000 |
| Lumber | 20,000 |
| Stone | 20,000 |
| Iron | 20,000 |
| Gold | 10,000 |
Storage and plunder
The Warehouse protects part of each resource from plunder. It does not impose a storage limit. Stockpile improves protection, while an attacker’s Privateering research reduces enemy warehouse protection.
