How to unlock Worker
You need Barracks level 1 in the training city. No research prerequisite is listed for this unit.
Training cost & upkeep
The resource cost below trains one Worker. Base training time is 50s, before building, research, and governor effects. Food upkeep is 2 per hour per unit at home. Marching troops consume twice their normal food upkeep.

Using Workers in your army
Workers make an economical transport force before siege production is available. Their 200-unit carrying capacity is forty times a Scout’s base load, but their speed is much lower. Keep them out of fighting forces unless the carrying capacity or settlement task calls for them.

- Keep enough food for the march and enough carrying capacity for the return.
