How to unlock Warrior
You need Barracks level 1 in the training city. No research prerequisite is listed for this unit.
Training cost & upkeep
The resource cost below trains one Warrior. Base training time is 25s, before building, research, and governor effects. Food upkeep is 3 per hour per unit at home. Marching troops consume twice their normal food upkeep.

Using Warriors in your army
Warriors are available at Barracks level 1 and have the shortest base training time in the roster. That makes them useful when building an early force. Their short range and modest health make composition and scouting more important as enemy garrisons improve.
Their low individual food upkeep helps a young city field numbers. A large force still consumes food every hour, so check your net production before queuing a batch.
Before you march
- Scout the target and review the available report.
- Check your hero, troop mix, and current research.
- Keep enough food for the march and enough carrying capacity for the return.
