−3% protection on enemy warehouses per level when you plunder
Research requirements
You need an Academy at level 10 for the first level. The realm’s highest Academy caps studies.
First-level research cost
| Resource | Amount |
|---|---|
| Food | 2,000 |
| Lumber | 2,000 |
| Stone | 2,000 |
| Iron | 2,000 |
| Gold | 10,000 |
Research costs and base time double with each subsequent level in the supplied technology definitions. Governor and Academy effects can shorten the actual duration.
How to prioritize this study
Match the effect to your next objective. Production studies support a growing economy; military studies improve the force you already maintain. Research consumes gold and resources that could otherwise go into construction or training, so plan it alongside your city’s next development step.
