If you miss the old MMORTS, start here
Law of Kings is built around a persistent medieval realm: develop a city, support an army, find allies, and compete over the map. If you remember planning production around queues and organizing marches with friends, these are the systems to explore first.
Relearn the numbers before you march
The strategic rhythm may feel familiar, but use the Law of Kings rules for decisions. Read the troop roster, hero attributes, resource bonuses, and promotion requirements rather than carrying over troop counts or farming recipes from another game.
Your city supports every campaign
Town Hall development caps buildings and fields. Barracks levels and research unlock the roster. Farms support the army’s continuing food upkeep. Your governor’s attributes help determine development, research, and training speed.
Find your place in an alliance
An Embassy unlocks alliance membership. Reinforcements, logistics, and shared plans matter when your objectives extend beyond one city. Corvaine’s 16 states each have a central citadel, giving developed alliances a territorial objective.
Start with a new plan
